Geech / Gich village

Geech – also written Gich – is one of the classic stops on multi-day Simien Mountains trekking routes.

Located at approximately 3,600 metres, the area is surrounded by highland grasslands, giant lobelias and exceptional mountain scenery.

Trekkers normally reach Geech from Sankaber after passing Jinbar Waterfall and the Jinbar River.

Geech also provides a convenient base for hiking towards Imet Gogo, Saha and Kedadit, making it one of the most important locations on the western Simien trekking circuit.
