Tour Overview

Experience southern Ethiopia in depth on this 14-day Omo Valley cultural tour, travelling from the Great Rift Valley and southern highlands into the remote landscapes of the Lower Omo.

Visit Hawassa, Arba Minch, Dorze, Lake Chamo, Konso, Turmi, Omorate and Jinka, while experiencing communities including Hamar, Dassanech, Karo, Ari and Mursi.

Unlike shorter Omo Valley packages built around rapid village visits, this two-week journey provides more time for landscapes, local markets, cultural encounters, wildlife and slower travel.

The Omo Valley is one of Ethiopia’s most important cultural-tourism regions and remains one of the country’s best-known southern destinations.
